Case Study 7:
“Pain drain”
A GRANDMOTHER who was left virtually housebound at one time because of crippling back pain can now lead a normal life thanks to remarkable new drug free treatment.
Janet Marshalsey suffered excruciating pain for 20 years after injuring her back lifting a patient whilst working as a nurse in 1984.
The following year, she suffered a prolapsed disc before eventually having to quit
her job through ill health in 1989.
By this time, the pain had got so bad that Mrs Marshalsey, of Fife, had difficulty sleeping, leaving the house to visit the shops or even standing up.
She had tried nearly every treatment available without success during that time – before reading about a new treatment device that had been invented by a GP.
The therapy, called Electronic Nerve Modulation (ENM), helped transform Mrs Marshalsey’s life within hours of her first using it.
She has recently returned from a holiday in America and was able to tolerate a full flight without suffering discomfort. She is also able to visit shops with friends and family.
“It’s been astonishing,” said Janet.
“I had tried everything I could think of to address the problem, and had seen so many different people that I was beginning to think that the problem was in my head.
“But this treatment has changed my life. I can do things that I was never able to do before. When things were especially bad, I could not even stand up.”
The above case study formed the basis of an article printed in the Sunday Herald: Magazine on 30th January 2005.
