Many specialist groups have shown an interest in ENM technology, and ENM has shown much ability in improving the lives of sufferers.
Osteoarthritis
This is the commonest form of arthritis resulting from wear and tear. Approximately a third of all ENM users report suffering from this type of arthritis. Just over 85% report improvement in their pain levels after using ENM technology.
Osteoporosis
Specialist articles have encouraged many patients with osteoporosis to use ENM. Although the pain from osteoporosis can be very difficult to control, the ENM device seems to give exceptional relief to most suffers. Patients seem to either report very good improvement or none at all – very few seem to experience only slight improvement.
Fibromyalgia
This is not a condition that we would have expected to respond particularly well to ENM. However, after an article in The Daily Telegraph about a fibromyalgia sufferer using ENM, we have treated a huge number of patients with this condition. The results have been overwhelmingly positive. It is interesting to note that a high percentage of those with fibromyalgia seem to suffer from other painful conditions.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
There are distinct types of pain associated with MS. Those associated with muscle spasm as well as direct nerve pains seem to do well with ENM therapy.
Insomnia
Throughout all the trials and assessments of ENM, patients have consistently reported that they are sleeping much better. Subsequent assessment in patients with sleep problems but not in pain, have shown the effectiveness of ENM as a treatment for insomnia.
Stress
Stress symptoms are common in people with the pain. Again and again we are told that pain sufferers feel less stressed when using ENM. Consequently we have started advising patients with stress symptoms but no pain, to try ENM. Although no clinical trials have yet been carried out, the reports we have received from patients with stress symptoms have been very positive. We now feel very confident in recommending ENM for stress relief.
Migraine
Migraine headaches ruin thousands of lives, causing sufferers to miss work, business and social occasions with little or no warning. Most treatments involve taking medication continuously in an attempt to prevent attacks or rely on very early intervention as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine. Those who suffer an aura have an advantage here in that they can take their medication before they actually suffer pain and can often prevent an attack. Most drugs for migraine do unfortunately have associated side effects though these are not normally very serious. Tiredness or drowsiness are the most common but tingling sensations in face and lips are also quite common.
ENM offers a slightly different approach. It can be used as a preventative by using it regularly to start off with and then reducing the frequency of treatments as time goes by. Our experience is that for many patients, treatment twice a week can act as a preventative. Alternatively, ENM can be used at the commencement of an attack and in many cases will curtail an attack. In practice, most of the patients we have followed use a combination of these approaches. As regular treatment diminishes the number of attacks, so the requirement for urgent intervention is reduced. There are no side effects from ENM usage.
