The ENM device is entirely safe to use at home.

Each ENM device comes complete with everything necessary for you to begin treatment.  The device includes a built in rechargeable battery and comes packaged with a charger, lead and 2 electrode pads.  To use the device, two sticky electrode pads are placed as described below, depending upon where your pain is. 

For pains below the neck

For all pains below the neck, place one electrode pad at the base of the neck and the second electrode pad half way down the back (at the point where the lowest ribs attach to the spine, which is just below bra strap level on a woman).  Both electrode pads must cover your spinal column.

For head, neck and arm pain

Place the electrode pads either side of the neck.

For pains in both areas of the body, a treatment can be carried out with the pads in the positions used for pains below the neck, then following this with the pads in the positions used for head, neck and arm pains.

Treatment guidelines

Unlike traditional TENS, DEEP tens therapy is accumulative and most users find that relief usually increases with continued treatments over time.  Patients are advised to begin DEEP tens therapy by using the ENM device for 20-30 minutes, 2 to 3 times per day to begin with.  Most people find that they are then able to reduce this to once per day or even once every other day within a few weeks.

Users often find that their pain is relieved towards the end of their chosen treatment period but some find they have to wait a few hours to experience the device’s full benefit.
